Description

This is a combined solicitation/synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only Request for Quote, offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 02Q126 is being issued as a Request for Quotation. This Solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-06. This RFQ is restricted to 100% Small Businesses. The NAICS code for this item is 334220 and the small business size standard is 750 employees. The United States Secret Service has a requirement for 500 each, two wire palm microphone and ear piece security kit, black with 6 pin Hirose connector for use with Saber and XTS-3000 radios. The following FAR Provisions and Clauses are applicable to this RFQ: 52.212-1, Instructions To Offerors-Commercial Items; 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items, insert in paragraph a. the following: "award will be based on the technically acceptable low offer."; 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. The following paragraph numbers cited in 52.212-5 are applicable: (11), (12), (13), (14), (15), (16), (24), (25). These FAR Provisions and Clauses may be accessed via the world wide web at: http://www.arnet.gov/far/. The contractor shall deliver the complete quantity, FOB Destination with all freight included in the delivered price. Delivery will be made to: U.S. Secret Service, Radio Communications Branch, ATTN: Lloyd A. Lewis, Washington Navy Yard, 245 Murray Drive SW, Washington, DC 20373-5824. All quotes should include a unit cost for the equipment. Delivery of supplies is desired no later than June 7, 2002. A signed copy of the Representations and Certifications shall be included with offeror's quote. Quotes are due May 14, 2002, 3:00PM EST by fax.
