Description
NA THIS SOLICITATION IS MODIFIED TO CHANGE THE CLASSIFICATION CODE FROM Y TO Z. The work consists of narrowing the total pavement width for existing Primary Runway 17R-35L from 300 feet to 200 feet. The existing runway is 13,400 ft in length with 1000 ft overruns. The new total width consists of 150 feet of runway full strength pave ment with 25-foot shoulders. The project includes demolition and replacement of the existing runway load-bearing asphalt pavement and existing paved shoulders along the full length of the runway. The existing 75-foot concrete keel section shall remain in place. Other pavement work includes shoulder replacement of four ladder taxiways up to 275 feet from the runway centerline, overrun reconstruction and demolition and replacement of 1,575 ft of existing 75 ft width asphalt calibration pad access taxiway w ith 75 ft width concrete with 25 ft shoulders. Other improvements include replacement of the runway edge and threshold/end lighting, taxiway lighting, distance markers, signage, wind indicators, cable and duct, electrical duct bank from the lighting vault to and along the runway, and related work. Estimated cost range of this project is $10,000,000 to $25,000,000. Plans and specifications will be available on/or about May 24, 2002, and will be provided on Compact Disk (CD-ROM).
