Description
The NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service, Narragansett Laboratory has a requirement to replace a switchboard and generator system. The scope of the work includes, but is not limited to; providing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for general construction, alterations, grading, mechanical and electrical work, necessary for the replacement of the existing switchboard and generator system as indicated on the contract drawings. The switchboard replacement shall be completed over one (1) weekend. The weekend working hours for replacement shall be restricted between 5:00 PM Friday and 4:00 AM Monday. All loads associated with the switchboard must be fully energized before the 4:00 AM Monday deadline. The temporary power condition as indicated on the contract drawings shall be operational during this restricted period to operate the defined critical loads. To insure such executions, Contractor shall furnish the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) with a schedule of approximate dates on which the Contractor intends to accomplish work in each specific area of site, building or portion thereof. In addition, Contractor shall notify the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) two weeks in advance of the proposed date of starting work in each specific area of site, building or portion thereof and arrange such dates to insure accomplishment of this work in successive phases mutually agreeable to the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) and Contractor. The performance period will be 90 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. All responsible small business sources may submit an offer that will be considered by the agency. Requests for the solicitation shall be in writing. Telephone requests will not be honored. Requests may be faxed to (757) 441-3786. In response please include the following: (a) a positive statement of your intent to submit a bid for this solicitation as a prime contractor; (b) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers and (c) past performance references with points of contact and phone numbers.
