- This is a synopsis for noncommercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N00164-02-Q-0156 applies and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2002-07 as well as DCN 20020426. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 332313 and the business size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is as follows: CLIN: 0001, Projectile, MK171-0 LIDD, First Articles ?IAW? Drawing # 6915056, 5 ea. Contractor Testing ?Clause FAR 5 2.209-3, with Alternate I. (a) The Contractor shall test 5 units of Item 0001 as specified in this contract. At least 10 calendar days before the beginning of first article tests, the Contractor shall notify the Contracting Officer, in writing of the time and location of the testing so that the Government may witness the tests.(b) The Contractor shall submit the first article test report within 10 calendar days from the date of this contract to: CAAA, Attn: C Luther, Bldg. 13, 300 Highway 361, Crane, In 47522-5001 marked ? First Article Test Report: Contract No.----------, Item No. 0001. Within 10 calendar days after the Government receives the test report, the Contracting Officer shall notify the Contractor, in writing, of the conditional approval, approval, or disapproval of the first article. The notice of the conditional approval or approval shall not relieve the Contractor from complying with all requirements of the specifications and all other terms and conditions of this contract. A notice of conditional approval shall state any further action required of the Contractor. A notice of disapproval shall cite reasons for the disapproval. Contractor Testing: Perform 100% measurement and required testing on all drawing characteristics. To be witnessed by a Gov?t QAR. CLIN: 0002, Projectile, MK171-0 LIDD, Production units ?IAW? Dwg. 6915056, 12,800 ea. Delivery is required F.O.B. Destination within 120 days after award. Final inspection will be at NSWC Crane. Selection for award will be based on past performance and price. Quotes that are non-compliant with any material requirement of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award. All responsible sources may submit a quote that will be considered by the Agency. A Firm-Fixed Price purchase order will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
