Description
Alaskan CONAIR mix-configured air transportation services utilizing contractor-furnished, IFR-equipped, multi-engine aircraft, capable of accommodating 463L pallets (88" by 108") and passengers totaling 25,000 pounds each flight. Aircraft must be capable of carrying a minimum of 45 passengers. Estimated 315,210 Great Circle Statute Miles for each the base year and the option year. This requirement is for a 12-month performance period beginning 1 Oct 02 with one 12-month option period and includes a "not to exceed" 6-month performance extension as authorized by FAR 52.217-8. Date for receipt of offers is on or about 19 June 02. An offeror must be an air carrier and hold a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity issued under Section 401 of the Federal Aviation Act of 1958, as amended, or is otherwise authorized by the DOD to engage in air transportation services and holds an air carrier's Operating Certificate issued by the FAA under Part 121 of the Federal Aviation Regulations (14 CFR 121) for airlift operated by the offeror. To be awarded a contract under this solicitation, prospective offerors must satisfy all DOD Air Carrier Quality and Safety Requirements as described in 14 CFR, Part 861.3. Further the offeror must have aircraft in the Civil Reserve Air Fleet or offer to place aircraft in such fleet upon request of the DOD.
