28?TURBINE EXHAUST CASE ASSEMBLY. OC-ALC/PKXDA. SOL F34601-02-R-54818. CLOSING DATE: 25 JUNE 2002. TEOFILO BAUTISTA/LPDBB/ (405) 734-8782. Item 0001 NSN 2840-01-440-7417NZ, PART NUMBER: 4080315-01, Required Quantity: 5 EA. Applicable to: F100 / 229 Engine. Size/Dimension: Approx 31.120" minimum and 31.130", maximum diameter. Inside Diameter: 11.156" Minimum and 11.162" maximum. Width: 6.30" minimum and 6.33" maximum. Predominant Material of Manufacture: Nickel Alloy. Form, Fit, Function: The Turbine Exhaust Case is located aft of the Rear Turbine Case. The area contains eight hollow radial stators and the No. 5 Bearing Seal Support. The Turbine Exhaust Case Transmits the No. 5 bearing load through its eight hollow radial stators. Destination: Tinker Air Force Base Ok 73145-3032. Delivery: The approximate solicitation issue date will be 28 May 2002. Currently there is only one qualified source, Pratt and Whitney, East Hartford CT CAGE 52661. This item requires engineering source approval by the design control activity to maintain the quality of the item. Substantiation of alternate sources for these parts must be according to the design activity's procedures as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. Contracting/Award will only be made from approved sources that exist on the day of award, 25 June 2002. No telephone requests! It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm listed above. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
