- Description
- DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS: The Supplier shall provide medical and non-medical supply and equipment items included in Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) War Reserve Materiel (WRM) Assemblages as authorized by the applicable assemblage Allowance Standard (AS). Included within these assemblages are sub-assemblies such as medical bags, backpacks, and cases. Some items included in this agreement may not be readily available in the existing commercial market and will require innovative solutions to provide 100% capability. The Supplier will provide three options for ordering: an entire bag/pack/case, a sub-pack or pocket, and individual line items. All items except those specifically identified by the Supplier during solicitation response will be maintained and provided under this contract. Not all items are brand name specific and may include generic commercial products that are identified by item descriptions. Materiel deemed military unique or unsupportable through the commercial market such as biological and chemical protective agents, may be supported through government purchase of materiel, maintained by the Supplier. For items covered as Government Purchased Materiel (GPM), the Supplier shall indemnify the Government against loss from factors within the control of the Supplier, excepting only Acts of God. Should a third party be held responsible, the Supplier shall replace the lost or damaged stock and seek compensation from the third party. Anticipated usage data will be provided by the customer to the Supplier, which will be used to establish the Supplier?s inventory levels on individual products. Current requirements are covered in section 20 of this Statement of Work. Additionally, revised data shall be provided by the Air Force Medical Logistics Office (AFMLO) during the solicitation period and will be reviewed by the AFMLO and the Supplier quarterly; the Supplier shall have a 30 day period after the initiation of the contract or quarterly review to stock a product in the appropriate unit of measure for individual issue, sub-pack, or entire backpack. Costs associated with deletions or reductions in stock levels at the request of the Government will be borne by the Government, however, it will be adjusted for credit returns or other cost-saving features, as identified in the Supplier?s technical proposal. The selling price for each item, sub-pack, and pack may be established as a specific price per unit, or based on a formula that shall NOT be defined as ?cost plus a percentage of cost?. The proposed pricing scheme shall be established at the time of response to this solicitation and is established for the duration of this contract. Any variables used in calculating the cost structure shall be subject to review each quarter, with changes applied only after mutual consent between the Government and Supplier. Selling price of items, sub-assemblies, and complete packs may include cost of materiel and additional costs for inventory management fees and providing specific service level provisions. Specific variables and associated values shall be proposed by the Supplier, but utilization is contingent upon acceptance by the Contracting Officer and Air Force Medical Logistics Office. The Solicitation Package for this effort is not yet available. This announcement is for infomation purposes only. CONTACT CAPT JAMES MOTT 301-619-4117.
