Description
This is a MODIFICATION TO PRESOLICITATION NOTICE POSTED IN THE ELECTRONIC POSTING SYSTEM (EPS) JULY 18, 2001 UNDER SOLICITATION NUMBER DTCG82-01-B-3WCA49 ?REPLACEMENT OF MORGANS POINT INNER AND OUTER RANGES?. (USE NEW SOLICIATION NUMBER DTCG82-02-B3WCA14). MODIFICATION: ?This acquisition is now a 100 percent set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns.? Offers under this acquisition are solicited only from SBA certified HUBZone small business concerns. Offers that are not from qualified HUBZone small business concerns shall not be considered and shall be rejected. The work consists of fabrication and installation of three (3) offshore range lights in Galveston Bay, Texas and one (1) land-based range light located in Baytown, Texas: salvage and removal of the four (4) existing wood structures and any debris existing around these structures. The estimated price range of the complete project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Bid Opening Date is March 19, 2002, 2:00 pm EST. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 234990, All Other Heavy Construction, with size standard of $27.5 million. Bid guarantee, payment and performance bonds are required. No telephone requests for this solicitation will be accepted; all requests shall be in writing and may be faxed to (305)278-6696, Attn: Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE?s). The Department of Tranportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DOT?s Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOT?s short-term lending program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000 with interest at the prime rate.
