Description

NA The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District, intends to sole source an Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) System under Solicitation No. DACW27-02-R-0004, Lock Replacement Project at McAlpine Lock & Dam. This is being done in order to insure full compatibility with two existing systems currently in use by the Louisville District. The existing lock at McAlpine Lock & Dam currently has in operation an Allen Bradley system, and has been determined sole sourcing this item provides the best compatibility and will minimize additional cost. All responses received within (45) days after date of this publication of the synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete under Solicitation No. DAC W27-02-R-0004 is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses to this notice are required no later than 15 J une 2002 by 4:30 p.m. local time, and may be submitted by fax to Lisa Frazier at (502)315-6195.
