Description

NA Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Requirements Contract. This acquisition will be issued unrestricted and offered to all responsible, qualified, responsive concerns. Work will include, but not be limited to abandonment of water lines; replac ement of water lines and appurtenances; and installation of new water lines and/or appurtenances; demolition and reconstruction of structures and pavement as necessary to gain access to water lines; requisite clearing, excavation and backfilling; and soddi ng to restore ground cover. Bidders will be required to pre-price work items that are associated with the excavation of existing lines, repair of such lines, installation of new lines, installation of requisite valves, sleeves, hydrants, meters, etc, and restoration of the work site to its original condition (backfill, turfing and sodding). Task orders will be placed against the contract based on the work items involved and their associated unit price. The contract period will be: Base Contract is one ( 1) year, commencing from date of contract award, with two (2) one year option periods. The base year contract amount will be an estimated $1,000,000.00. The total contract amount will not exceed $3,000,000.00. The minimum task order amount issued shall be $1,000.00. Each task order for new construction shall not exceed $300,000.00. Each task order amount for repair shall not exceed $1,000,000.00. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this project is 234910, Wa ter, Sewer, and Pipeline Construction. Small Business Standard is $28.5 million. The construction project price range is $1,000,000 to $`5,000,000. The solicitation is tentatively scheduled to issue on or about 9July 2002, and bids opening on or about 12 August 2002. The plans and specifications, when available will be posted on the Internet and available on CD-ROM. Plans and specifications will not be available in paper format. Notification of amendments will be made through either 3.5 floppy diskette s, CD-ROM, and/or Internet only. However, the Government reserves the right to use only the Internet as notification of any amendments to this solicitation. It is the offerors responsibility to view our web site daily for amendments to the solicitation. . Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the Internet after solicitation issuance at the following Internet address: http://ebs.swf.usace.army.mil. Bidders shall register themselves on the Internet to receive ame ndment notices. The Corps of Engineers accepts bids from Prime Contractors only. Subcontractors and suppliers can view/print a copy of the plan holder?s list at http://ebs.swf.usace.army.mil to find prime contractors to submit their bids too. Subcontract ors and suppliers can also register on the plan holder?s list as at the same web address. All offerors are encouraged to visit the Army?s Single Face to Industry website at http://acquisition.army.mil/default.htm to view other business opportunities.
