- SYNOPSIS FOR HOT OIL HEATERS Contractor shall provide equipment and installation to heat dies used for pressing applications, and removal of the existing units. Equipment are to be replaced with the existing hot oil heaters. The requirements are listed below: Provide two Mokon HTF 500 Series Circulating Oil Temperature Control System rated 24 KW of heating capacity, 2 HP, 20 GPM and 100 PSI via a positive displacement pump, one zone of control, temperature to be controlled by a microprocessor based PID controller, with dual LED indication of setpoint and process fluid temperature, and air cool. Electrical standard for industrial machinery with branch fusing for motor, heater, and transformer, main door disconnect. The entire system is to be cabineted with powder coated carbon steel for internal component protection. Electrical service supplied to be 460 Volts, 3 Phase, 60 Hz. Install electrical, plumbing, fill with fluid and simple test run, and provide piping to vent to outside. Drain oil from old units and dispose tanks, flush system and add new oil. Provide new fluid, and replace 3 braided oil hose assemblies rated at 400F to the existing die. The hot oil heaters must include features for safety reasons: low fluid level shut off, automatic process flow purge, which recirculates the fluid from the system and process lines back into the reservoir, automatic air purge, low pressure and high temperature safety shut-off switches, NEMA 12 electrical enclosure with Allen Bradley components, and meets SPI Guideline for circulating liquid temperature control systems and NFPA 79 Electrical standard for industrial machinery. Attending site visit is mandatory. Interested vendors are invited to identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements by submitting supportive documentation. Documentation must clearly show evidence and ability to provide support described herein. This is not a request for proposals.
