- NA 1) Who are the incumbent contractors involved? ANSWER: Lockheed Martin, TRW and Booz Allen 2) Is this acquisition a hybrid of CSS-CS, MCS, GCCS ? ANSWER: The contract will support the development of a family of products under the Ground Combat Command and Control (GCC2) umbrella in a manner than maintains individual accountability for each of the products, but has the objective of better unifying the GCC2 Family of Systems architecture and eventually of leveraging common applications and infrastructure across the products. The contract will further include management of the Army Battle Command System (ABCS) System of Systems Engineering and Integ ration (SSEI) efforts. 3) Is this a small buy, and/or are there opportunities for small and 8a contractors? ANSWER: No, it is a large buy, however, there will be subcontracting opportunities for small and 8a contractors. What type of response is requested? There is NO Response Date to the pre-solicitation notice listed on FedBizOpps on 28 March 2002 or the Interactive Business Opportunities page (IBOP) in early April. This posting was for informational purposes only. More information, i.e. a draft Statemen t of Work (SOW) will be made available in the next few weeks as finalized, and an approximately mid-September date is anticipated for the Request for Proposal (RFP) to be submitted. Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.
