Description

U-2 Reconnaissance Aircraft Survival Seat Kit, P/N: PM59300-7, 23 each, Initial(Provisioning) Spares, Item/Qty-To Be Determined during Provisioning Conference, Technical Data (Tech Manual), 1 Lot. Option I (FY03): Survival Seat Kit, P/N: PM59300-7, 24 each, Container Assembly, P/N: B41763-1, 10 each. Option II (FY04): Survival Seat Kit, P/N: PM59300-7, 9 each. This is a unique survival seat kit made of thermoform plastic. The container houses the pilot's survival gear, life raft, and miniaturized emergency oxygen supply. The kit is designed to provide emergency operations at altitudes ranging from 0 to above 70,000 feet. The emergency oxygen system must be compatible and integrate with the U-2 aircraft primary oxygen system and pressure suit. The survival seat kit fits into the RQ-201 ejection seat and must be compatible with the in-flight retention and rejection requirements. The kit also features an automatic release system. The total packed weight of the kit can not exceed 60 pounds. Delivery will be at a rate of 2 each per month beginning 270 Days ARO to Beale AFB CA. This unique survival seat kit is sole source to Carleton Technologies, Orchard Park NY. The Government does not own a reprocurement data package. This acquisition is intended to be a one-time buy.
