- The VA National Acquisition Center is issuing this revised announcement for RFP 797-NC-02-0026 for the Department of Veterans Affairs? (VA) and Department of Defense?s (DoD) requirements for family drug groups, Fluphenazine Tablets, Spironolactone Tablets and to be added to the solicitation per this revision Haloperidol Tablets. HALOPERIDOL TABLETS has an estimated annual usage of 1,225 bottles of 0.5mg in bottles of 100 each, 761 bottles of 0.5mg in bottles of 1000 each, 2,082 bottles of 1mg in bottles of 100 each, 1,501 bottles of 1mg in bottles of 1000 each, 1,937 bottles of 2mg in bottles of 100 each, 1,617 bottles of 2mg in bottles of 1000 each, 2,853 bottles of 5mg in bottles of 100 each, 2,709 bottles of 5mg in bottles of 1000 each, 2,271 bottles of 10mg in bottles of 100 each and 1,902 bottles of 10mg in bottles of 1000 each. FLUPHENAZINE TABLETS has an estimated annual usage of 1,191 bottles of 1mg in bottles of 100 each, 507 bottles of 1mg in bottles of 500 each, 1,015 bottles of 2.5mg in bottles of 100 each, 514 bottles of 2.5mg in bottles of 500 each, 1,560 bottles of 5mg in bottles of 100 each, 3,778 bottles of 5mg in bottles of 500 each, 1,367 bottles of 10mg in bottles of 100 each and 959 bottles of 10mg in bottles of 500 each. SPIRONOLACTONE TABLETS has an estimated annual usage of 31,833 bottles of 25mg in bottles of 100 each and 46,098 bottles of 25mg in bottles of 500 OR 23,049 bottles of 25mg in bottles of 1000 (where there is a choice of package size as indicated by the word ?or?, the offeror must submit a price on at least one of the two sizes indicated and award will me made on the package size most advantageous to the Government). There may be separate contracts awarded for each family group unless one offeror has the best offer for two or more family groups. The estimated quantities listed above are for VA and DoD, some Indian Health Service facilities (IHS) and the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) (except for Haloperidol Tablets that will have IHS and BOP quantities added later) however, estimated quantities for additional Indian Health Services facilities might be added to the solicitation later. The contract period will be for one year plus four one-year option periods. The contract items will be distributed through the VA and DoD Pharmaceutical Prime Vendors (PPV). Tablets must be compatible with automatic dispensing units (Baxter ATC Canisters, Optifil, etc.) and if offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including option years. Glass bottles are not acceptable. The solicitation will be available for downloading, on or about the revised issue date of April 19, 2002 from the VA Office of Acquisition and Material Management?s (O&AMM) internet web site at http://www.va.gov/o&amm/busopp/sols.htm.
