- Description
- The FAA is requesting information concerning the existence of non-developmental/commercial off-the-shelf (COTS)/government off-the-shelf (GOTS) software packages that could be used to support the Office of Facility Management at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center. The Office of Facility Management is responsible for over three million square feet of space located in approximately 200 buildings. Responsibilities include master planning, space management, design & construction, operations & maintenance, and technical equipment & systems maintenance in support of the FAA mission.
The software packages should perform the following functions:
A. Facility Project Management - project management, estimating and scheduling. B. Facility Planning - master planning and space management with compatibility with AutoCAD 2002 drawing formats. C. Work Order Management - estimating, scheduling and actual labor and material costs for support work orders and trouble calls. D. Operations and Maintenance Management - scheduling and tracking periodic maintenance for facilities. E. Asset Management - scheduling and tracking of equipment and equipment maintenance.
The attached specifications document defines the requirements for the software. It is divided into technical and functional requirements. Joint venture approaches to a complete solution are acceptable.
Vendors having non-developmental software packages are encouraged to provide information on the capabilities of their products to meet the listed requirements. Please indicate your abilities to provide the requirements indicated on the attached form, including the applicable module name. Vendors should address their products license agreement, software support, training, cost of products (by module), as well as maintenance costs.
Responses will be evaluated based upon vendors ability to meet all of the requirements identified (reference attached requirements document), cost of module, and after-sale support.
The FAA reserves the right to invite as few as two but as many as five vendors from among those with the highest rated submissions to participate in a demonstration of the capabilities of their product to the FAA sometime between April 29, 2002, and May 15, 2002.
Interested vendors should provide an electronic response to becky.j.pritchett@faa.gov no later than close-of-business on April 24, 2002.
This Request for Information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the FAA to acquire any follow-on acquisitions. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the FAA will arise as a result of submission of responses to this RFI and the FAA's use of such information. This RFI does not constitute the solicitation of proposals. No telephone requests. Responders to this RFI may be requested to provide additional details/information based on their initial submittals.
If a Request for Offer is issued, it will be restricted to the most qualified vendors who respond to this announcement.
Questions should be referred to Contracting Officer, Cheryl Martin at Cheryl.D.Martin@FAA.gov.
