- Description
- Work under these projects consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, material and incidentals necessary for the construction or renovation in accordance with the plans, specifications and drawings of a Category C or Category B Home, under the BIA Housing Improvement Program Guidelines. The sites are located as follows; RMB00020004-Cat "B", Carnegie, Oklahoma. RMB00020005-Cat "B", Carnegie, Oklahoma. RMB00020006-Cat "B", Carnegie, Oklahoma. RMB00020007-Cat "C", Pawnee, Oklahoma. RMB00020008-Cat "C", Yale, Oklahoma. The estimated cost of construction for a Category B cannot exceed $35,000 and the estimated cost of construction for a Category C is between $25,000-$80,000. Parties interested in submitting a bid may request a bid packet, after the date of April 5, 2002 in writing or by phone from the Contracting Officer, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Southern Plains Regional Office, P.O. Box 368, Anadarko, OK 73005, telephone no. 405-247-6673, Ext. 227. The Bid Opening will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2002, 3:00 p.m., in the Branch of Contracts, Southern Plains Regional Office, Anadarko, OK. These projects are being advertised separately and will be awarded separately. Section 7(b) of the Public Law 93-638 (25 U.S.C. 450E) and 41 CFR 14-1.354 requires that preference opportunities in employment and training be given to Indian/Alaskan individuals and that preference in the award of subcontracts be given to Indian/Alaskan economic enterprises. Failure by the contractor to submit a plan for doing so prior to award and implement same after award shall be sufficient reason for non-award or termination of the contract for default.
