Description

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has a requirement to acquire production of an interactive training CD-ROM for its Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program. This project is restricted to a set-aside for small business concerns or educational Institutes. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541519. This announcement is a synopsis only. Formal requests for solicitation (RFP#0009433) are to be submitted via the internet no later than 5:00 PM EST on December 14, 2001 to susmith@leo.gov. A firm fixed price purchase order will be issued as a result of this solicitation. Descriptive data follows: UCR provides the nation with the Crime Index (summary of index offenses ? murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft, and arson). It is an agency-level count of criminal offenses and criminal arrests aggregated in a variety of ways, including by state, region, division, and nation. This information is used to produce the annual FBI publication, Crime in the United States. National Hate Crime Data Collection Program: Implemented by the FBI in 1992 in response to passage of the Hate Crime Statistics Act. Agencies submit hate crime incidents to the UCR Program, which processes them in a database and publishes them in an annual report entitled Hate Crime Statistics. Law Enforcement Officers Killed and Assaulted (LEOKA): A program developed to collect detailed information about victim officers, offenders, and pertinent circumstances surrounding the death or serious injury of a police officer. The UCR Program publishes an annual report under the Program?s name. Formal requests for the above solicitation RFP#0009433 are to be received within 15 days of this announcement (December 14, 2001). No telephone or written requests will be accepted.
