Description
This is a small business set-aside sources sought announcement. The U.S. Department of State (DOS), Office of Overseas Building Operations (OBO); formerly know as FBO is seeking to prequalify general construction firms that have successfully performed overseas (outside of CONUS). An award may result from this announcement and be limited to small business concerns in a competitive acquisition. Construction work will consist of the construction of a Compound Access Control (CAC) at the U.S. Embassy in Dublin Ireland. The cost of this project is between $200,000.00 to $400,000.00. The work shall include but not limited to site construction, concrete, masonry, metals, wood and plastics, thermal and moisture protection, doors and windows, finishes, specialties, mechanical, and electrical. The contractor shall be required to maintain site security at all times during the construction. The construction firms must have bonding capability up to $500,000.00 for this project. The sole purpose of this synopsis is to identify prospective sources for this construction project. The scope of construction services under this proposed contract will include: total construction skills and services working in a overseas environment to fully construct the CAC in accordance with construction documents prepared by the United States Government's Architect of Record and approved by (OBO). The contractor shall provide on site organization and lines of authority to ensure overall project coordination; daily management oversight and coordination with U.S. Government on-site staff; Architect-Engineer representatives; subcontractors; equipment suppliers; procurement of materials; managing job site meetings; submittals from project start to project completion; quality control program; and construction scheduling to provide overall control throughout the life of the project. If a site visit is scheduled at the overseas location for this project it will be at the total cost of the contractor.
