- Description
- The Colville National Forest has a requirement for culvert replacements on Sheep Creek located on the Republic Ranger District in Ferry County Washington (which is located in North East Washington State). The project consists of: removal of two existing culverts at the Sheep Creek Crossing, and complete installation including purchase and hauling of a concrete box culvert 12 feet x 7 feet x 48 feet (concrete thickness is 12 inches). The installation includes: temporary diversion of the creek, traffic control devices, excavation, bed preparation, placement of culvert, streambed placement inside the culvert, disposal of unsuitable material, haul and placement of gravel for backfill, seeding, riprap haul and placement (side slopes and in the streambed) and removal of temporary diversion. There are limitations in the road closure area for this contract. Unless otherwise provided, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools and transportation necessary to perform the work in accordance with the specification and provisions of the contract. This project will be advertised as a written quotation and will be solicited under the Simplified Acquisition Procurement (SAP) rules. The project will be procured on an unrestricted basis. Estimated issue date of the solicitation is on or about April 22, 2002. Estimated start work date is on or about July 1, 2002, with a completion date of October 4, 2002. Work in the water is limited to July 1, 2002, through September 30, 2002. Closing the road completely to traffic is only allowed to occur after September 3, 2002. Quotes are estimated to be due May 13, 2002. An Alternate Payment Protection (payment bond) will be required upon award. NAICS code is 234990. The estimated price range is $25,000 to $100,000.
