Description: NA Scope of work for the project consists of whole neighborhood revitalization of 128 senior enlisted, stairwell, apartment-type family housing units at Bleidorn Family Housing Area, Ansbach, Germany, to current standards, including neighborhood amenities, su pporting infrastructure and energy efficiency. Work includes increasing living space, new closets, doors, adding private laundry rooms to all units and adding second bathrooms to larger units, new energy efficient windows, repair and upgrade of electric s ystem including 110V, heating lines and radiators, and replace roofing and add insulation. Project modernizes stairwells and entries. Supporting facility work includes central trash collection points, repair of walkways, parking, lighting, water, sewer a nd storm drain lines and upgrade of recreational facilities and landscaping. Fire protection and life safety equipment will be repaired or installed. Project encompasses Buildings 5081, 5082, 5084, 5085, 5086, 5087, 5088 and 5089. Tentative date for iss ue of the Request for Proposals (RFP) is 3 May 2002. Tentative date for receipt of Proposals is 3 June 2002. Estimated cost of this project is in the $5,000,000 -- $10,000,000 range. Project completion involves staggered start and completion times for t he buildings, with the final building to be completed in 810 calendar days. Applicable SIC code is 1522 / NAICS Code is 23322. The solicitation, including project plans and specifications, will be issued on CD-ROM and limited to one (1) set per offeror. A pre-proposal site visit is tentatively planned on a date to be determined.
