- Description
- 1. Description: Furnish all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to clean, sanitize and seal the air handler unit, air ducts, main blower assembly, 18 Variable Air Volume (VAV) valves and coils of building 941, Maxwell AFB, AL. Work shall include: a. Cut the trunk line as needed to access the inside of the main plenum and trunk duct. b. Have ACSC certified personnel present at all times during cleaning. c. Remove all residues from the air handler unit, air ducts, main blower assembly, 18 Variable Air Volume (VAV) valves and coils ensuring the safety of all employees present. d. Clean the interior surfaces of the trunk and all feeder ducts. e. Sanitize the air handler unit, air ducts, main blower assembly, 18 Variable Air Volume (VAV) valves and coils f. Use an EPA approved sanitizing agent, which provides protection against organic contaminants, for all sanitizing. g. Remove, clean, sanitize and reinstall all air defusers and return grilles. h. Seal the interior surfaces of the air handler unit, air ducts, main blower assembly and 18 Variable Air Volume (VAV) valves with an EPA approved sealant. i. Repair/replace trunk line to return to original condition. j. Ensure the air handling system is operating properly after completion of cleaning, sanitizing and sealing. k. Provide a report of your inspection of all work performed to the contracting officer prior to request for final inspection/acceptance by the government. 2. Performance Period: 30 days after receipt of notice to proceed, including final cleanup. 3. Notification of Occupants: Notify the occupants at least 7 working days in advance of the start of on-site operations. 4. Construction Debris: Remove debris daily and prior to final inspection. Do not dispose of any debris in government dumpster on base. 5. Small Business Set-Aside: Contractors must be a small business concern in accordance with the NAIC 56179 standard set by the Small Business Administration to be considered for award of this contract. 6.
