Description
NA The purpose of this Sources Sought/Market Research is to identify potential sources capable of designing and manufacturing a containerized electrical power generating station (CPG) which will serve as a field mobile power supply to be used in direct suppor t of a mobile maintenance platform for watercraft called the Containerized Maintenance Facility. This office is doing market research to determine data regarding the availability of this type item, standard warranty, delivery lead times, etc, that are norm ally involved with this type of requirement. A brief description of the CPG is as follows. The major components are: The CPG shall be housed in a 20 foot long ISO style steel sided shipping container. The container shall include air intake systems that are filtered to exclude atmospheric borne solid contaminants. The container shall include an exhaust outlet large enough to accommodate all the exhaust requirements of the enclosed system. The CPG shall utilize two diesel engine powered generators, rate d for 100 kW each. The generator output requirements are a starting system, a fuel supply and injection system and an electrical distribution system. The CPG shall include a built in air compressing system. Firms capable of providing containerized elect rical power generating station can indicate their interest by providing the Government a brief summary of their company capabilities/history providing this type product. A complete copy of the Statement of Work To Design and Build a Mobile Power Generatin g Station in Support of a Transportable Watercraft Maintenance Facility and a copy of the System Specification for the CMF Power Generating Station will be available beginning April 2, 2002. To receive a copy please send email request to Alberta Simmons a t simmonsa@osc.army.mil. Your request must include Cage Code, Company Name, address, phone number, email address and a point of contact. Please respond NO LATER THAN APRIL 12, 2002.
