Description

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), a government agency, intends to award a labor hour contract for classification services. Services include position classification audits, drafting of position descriptions in proper format (Factor Evaluation Statement (FES) or narrative), evaluation statements, classification and management advisory services, and assisting in implementing the automated classification system. This assistance will require, but will not be limited to, creating classification language, duty statements, factor statements, and classification content for classification load spreadsheets. The contractor personnel must have a minimum of 10 years experience in position management, handling reorganizations and classifying complex federal positions utilizing Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Position Classification Standards and OPM Guidlines. Individual must have one (1) year of experience in classifying one or more of the following: auditors, attorneys, Senior Level/SES and Schedule C supervisor positions. Experience classifying actuary and Pension related positions is desirable. The period of performance will include a base period of one (1) year (October 1, 2002 to September 30, 2003) with four one-year option periods. The place of performance will be at the PBGC, 1200 K Street, NW, Washington, DC. Telephone requests will not be honored. The solicitation document, including amendments, will be distributed through the FedBizOpps.gov web site. The site contains downloading instructions. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to assure that they have the most up to date information about this acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation and associated amendments will not be available.
