MODIFICATION IS BEING ISSUED TO ADVISE PLANHOLDERS OF ORIGINAL SOLICITATION THE FOLLOWING: SCOPE OF WORK HAS BEEN CHANGED, PLANHOLDERS ARE REQUIRED TO SECURE THEIR OWN SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS AS DESCRIBED BELOW IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE NEW SOLICITATION. AS STATED, THE SCOPE HAS CHANGED, ALL BIDS SUBMITTED UNDER ORIGINAL SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNDER THIS SOLICITATION. POTENTIAL PLANHOLDERS ARE ADVISED TO CONTACT PRINTING COMPANY IDENTIFIED BELOW TO SECURE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. BID DATE IS STILL SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 23, 2002, @ 2:00 P.M. Solicitation was originally advertised under Solicitation Number GS06P02GYC0004 and is being remarked due to scope changes. IFB SYNOPSIS--First Impressions Project - North Entry Renovation, Richard Bolling Federal Building, 601 E.12th Street, Kansas City, Missouri. PCN = RMO20061. IFB o/a 3/22/02. Estimated Cost Range = $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. Time for completion=270 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. Those requesting drawings, plans, and/or specifications MUST provide valid identification in the form of one of the following: copy of a business license; DUNS number; or legible copy of a valid state driver's license from one of the principals of the firm. The estimated printing costs are: $80.00 for a full size set of drawings; $40.00 for a half size set of drawings; $57.00 for each specification set. NOTE: These costs are estimates only. Cost of documents is non-refundable. Cost of delivery is additional. Documents may be purchased from: Lane Blueprint Company (attention Diane Hersh), 1520 Main St, Kansas City, MO, 64108; 816-221-2500. Project involves but is not limited to: selective demolition, site clearing, earthwork, termite control, storm drainage, concrete work, pavement joint sealants, unit pavers, fountains, stone materials, structural steel, steel deck, metal fabrications, carpentry, insulation, single-ply membrane roofing, sheet metal, fire resistive materials, joint sealants, aluminum entrances, aluminum storefronts, revolving entrance doors, metal framed skylights, door hardware, power door operators, glazing, glazed aluminum curtain wall, gypsum board assemblies, epoxy terrazzo, painting, flagpoles, electronic display boards, floor mats, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, lighting and power. Project will be accomplished in three (3) phases and will include a base bid, a unit price (for contaminated soil removal), and five (5) options. The options include: 1) provide granite wall located East of the North entrance from column lines L-N according to wall elevations on drawing L-111 and provide five wall-washer light fixtures designated as SL2 on drawing ME101; 2) Add five site lights (BEGA 8106MH, 100W, designated as SL1 on drawing ME101), associated 16 foot high poles and concrete bases, location in plaza west of north entrance along column line L; 3) Provide two tree planters including tree, landscaping, drainage piping and electrical lighting designated as SL3 (per drawing ME-101) as shown on drawing L-101; 4) Plaza: Delete soil and sod in areas as shown in Base Bid work and provide concrete base, sand base and granite pavers; 5) Furnish one each additional electrical directory as specified in Section 10410, Electronic Directories, to be stored b the Government for later installation, see detail A1 on drawing A401. This procurement is offered on an unrestricted basis pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration program. The applicable NAICS code is 233320, size standard $28.5 million. Prior to award of the contract, the successful bidder (if a large business) will be required to submit and have GSA approve a small business subcontracting plan. Contract award will be contingent upon receipt and approval of the subcontracting plan, in accordance with Public Law 95-507, to provide the maximum practical opportunities for Small Business, Small Business owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and by Women-Owned Small Businesses. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency within the limits of this announcement.
