Description

The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Wildlife Services (WS), 2110 Miriam Circle, Bismarck, North Dakota, intends to procure 1170 gallons of glyphosate-based aquatic herbicide and 150 gallons of 90% nonionic surfactant. Submit faxed quotations to the Purchasing Section, at (612) 370-2136, Attention Gloria Benson. QUOTATIONS ARE DUE APRIL 1, 2001, BY 10:00 a.m. local time. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR 12. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses which are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-03. Applicable FAR clauses are incorporated by reference: Prompt Payment 52.249-1 (4/84); Changes--Fixed price 52.243-1 (8/87); Price Evaluation Adjustment for Small Disadvantaged Business Concern 52.219-23 (05/01); Notice of Price Evaluation preference for HUB Zone Small Business Concern 52.219-4 (01/99); Instructions to Offerors-Commercial items 52.212-1; Evaluation-Commercial items 52.212-2 (10/97) Award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. Please submit data outlining your firms product specifications ; Offeror Representations and Certifications 52.212-3 ((1-/98); Contract Terms and Conditions- Commercial Items 52.212-4 (4/98); Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items 52.212-5 (10/98). ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES MAY SUBMIT A QUOTATION FOR CONSIDERATION. All offers must be signed. Offers should include tax payer identification number__________________________ DUNS number__________________ and business size ___________________. SPECIFICATIONS: Approximately 1170 gallons of Glyphosate-based aquatic herbicide registered for the control of cattails, to be furnished in 30 gallon recycleable containers and delivered to specified sites in North Dakota and South Dakota, to be determined after helicopter pilot requirement has been met. The herbicide must be registered with the EPA and meet the standards set forth for use in North Dakota and South Dakota with an option to renew for two additional years. Approximately 150 gallons of 90% Nonionic surfactant approved by the North Dakota Wildlife Services. The contractor shall be responsible for the return shipping of the 30 gallon recycleable containers.
