Description
Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii) Only One Responsible Source And No Other Supplies Or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source for the detention services capable of providing stationary guard services for up to a total of 177 (estimated maximum) detainee aliens at the Seattle District Office, 815 Airport Way, Seattle, WA. The term of the Bridge Contract is for one base term of 9 months, with three optional periods in increments respectively: of 3 months, 2 months and 1 month to provide these services while the long-term Detention Facility is being built and adequately staffed for the new solicitation ACL-8-R-0076 presently being negotiated at this time. The long-term contract (base year and four-one year options) will be for the provision of temporary housing, stationary guard services, safekeeping, feeding and transportation. The North American Industry Classification System is 561612 and Small Business Size Standard is $9,000,000.00. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a proposal. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis. A Determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
