Description

The Government intends to negotiate a Requirements Type contract with firm fixed unit prices for Mortuary Services and Supplies as required by the Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, VA. Anticipate one base year with provisions for four one-year option periods. The contractor shall provide services and supplies for care of remains of deceased personnel. Recipients of the services and supplies are outlined in NAVMEDCOMINST 5360.1 dated September 1987. The resulting contract will be from 15 Apr 02 through 30 Sep 02. FAR Clause 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services will be incorporated into the solicitation. The Standard (SIC) Code is 7261 and the NAICS Code is 812210. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by this agency. Offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available by downloading the documents from the following website: http://www.neco.navy.mil. By submitting a proposal, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to so represent may be grounds for refusing the request. Reference the RFP number when requesting copies of the solicitation. Interested parties should provide their CAGE Code and FAX number.
