- Description
- This acquisition will provide for a follow-on contract for VC-25A Contractor Logistics Support (CLS). This effort is required from 1 Oct 2002 through 30 Sep 2003 with option years from 1 Oct 2003 to 30 Sep 2007. To: Boeing Company, Wichita KS, 67277. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty five-days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestors are acceptable. It is suggested that small business firms; or, others interested subcontracting opportunities in connection with this acquisition make contact with the firm(s) listed. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified herein for additional information and or to communicate concerns, if any, about this acquisition. The Work Specification establishes the minimum work requirements to return the end item to a serviceable condition. These work requirements will include Engineering Services (ES), Heavy Maintenance (HM), scheduled/unscheduled drop-in maintenance, program management support, Contract Field Team support (CFT), Contractor Operated and Maintained Base Supply (COMBS), repair/overhaul of aircraft components, engine/component, APU (Auxiliary Power Unit)/component, Technical Order (T.O.) compliance, aircraft modifications, training, test flight support, and preparation for delivery of the VC-25A aircraft to the United States Air Force. The approximate solicitation date will be 15 Apr 02. Anticipated contract award date is 01 Oct 02. Written procedure will be used for this soliciation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in evaluation of proposals.
