Description
NA Any questions regarding this solicitation should be addressed to: Teresa Fullerton-Thormar at teresa.m.fullerton-thormar@usace.army.mil. The Seattle District is soliciting proposals for Miscellaneous Environmental Studies dealing with sediment and biota collection, chemical and biological testing including toxicological interpretation. Studies will provide primary support for testing of potential dredged material, reference areas/sites, and possibly dredged material disposal sites existing in Western Was hington and other West Coast dredging sites. Work will include coordination and consultation with District representatives to design analyses and quality assurance plans, sediment collection, storage and transport; and chain-of-custody for chemical analys is for priority pollutants or the subset of chemicals of concern listed in the Puget Sound Dredged Disposal Analysis (PSDDA) according to methods described in the EPA Office of Coastal Waters’ recommended Guidelines for Measuring Selected Environmental Var iables in Puget Sound. Tests required may include collecting marine benthos and performing taxonomic characterization of such communities. The work would also include providing expert toxicological advice in the evaluation of testing results. Proposed p rocurement will result in a firm fixed price indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/ID) contract including a base year plus one option year; the maximum ordering amount shall not exceed $350,000 per year or a total of $700,000 over the life of the con tract. This requirement is open to both large and small business concerns. If you are a Large Business and your proposal will equal or exceed $500,000 you will be required to submit a Subcontracting Plan. The North American Industry Classification Syste m (NAICS) Code is 541690 and the Standard Industry Classification Code (SIC) is 8999 with size standard of $5 million. This solicitation will be issued as an Electronic Bid Set (EBS) on Seattle District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Contracting Web page in electronic format only. No disks will be mailed. Firms must register via the Internet at the following address: http://www.nws.usace.army.mil/ct/ in order to receive notification about amendments. The solicitation will be available for download on or ab out 4 April 2002.
