Description

NA The work consists of the removal of approximately 1,800,000 cubic yards of dredged material, comprised of maintenance material, from 12,600 feet of project channel with variable widths of 400 to 800 feet to required depths of 47 to 49 feet below mean low t ide and 2 feet of allowable overdepth for the navigation channel. Material will be deposited in open water placement areas. There will be no levee work. The plans and specifications will be provided on compact disc (CD); to obtain a copy of the CD, you must register at Galveston District?s website at www.swg.usace.army.mil/ct. Subcontracting goals for the Galveston District are: 61.4% - Small Business; 9.1% - Small Disadvantaged Business; 5.0% - Woman-Owned; 2.5% - Hubzone Small Business; 3.0% - Vete ran-Owned Small Business and 3% - Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. The estimated cost range is between $1 million and $5 million.
