- Description
- This project consists of re-roofing the "Indian Quarters", which forms the perimeter wall of Mission San Jose. The Mission and related visitor facilities will continue to be open to the public during the construction period, so barricades and maintaining public access into the compound will be a job requirement. Minor demolition will include removing the old roof material and approximately 5000 square feet of asbestos containing multi-ply flashing that covers the parapet walls. Under the flashing is a mastic that previous testing has shown to be is approximately 1.5% chrysotile asbestos. Verification of percentages, quantities, and proper removal of asbestos containing materials is the responsibilty of the contractor.
