Description
NAICS Code: 541690 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Research and Development, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 6.301, the services of the School of Public Health, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. In the 1990s, a study of children's and adults' respiratory health, in relation to outdoor and indoor air pollution, was conducted in the four Chinese cities of Chongqing, Guangzhou, Lanzhou, and Wuhan. The contractor shall: (A) develop a questionnaire suitable for use in a follow-up study of changes in respiratory health, in relation to changes in outdoor and indoor air pollution, in these cities; (B) prepare code books and electronic file structures for entry of questionnaire data and air pollution measurements in such a follow-up study; (C) prepare a plan for analyzing questionnaire and environmental data in such a follow-up study. Optimal performance of these tasks will require familiarity with the scientific goals, procedures, and data collection instruments of the original study. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. However, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting the EPA requirements may submit technical documentation to establish the potential of complying with the statement of work requirements. Such documentation must be submitted to the point of contact within 15 days of electronic posting of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The applicable NAICS Code is 541690.
