Description

GSA is announcing its intent to issue a procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The contract will be a fixed price effort to provide information technology Cyberguard KnightSTAR 5U appliance upgrades to firewall software licenses with associated maintenance support and new hardware appliance for use by HQ AMC/SC located at Scott Air Force Base, IL 62225. This procurement will upgrade software from V4.3 to V5.0, which includes VPN. Requirement is for each of the following items and quantities: (1) Upgrade to V5.0 KnightSTAR 5U appliance, unlimited user license, high availability, six each. (2) Silver Appliance Hardware Support-~8X5 local business hours; immediate phone response by a trained Cyberguard technician, on-site advanced replacement within next business day, access to on?line ?Answer Book? knowledge base, proactive notifications via ?Customer Connection?, and software subscription service, six each. (3) 10/1000 Gigabit Card, 12 each. (4) Raid Controller Card, 6 each. (5) DATT Drives one per KS unit, 6 each. (6) Additional 18 gb Hard Drives for RAID, 12 each. Additional requirements: (1) upgrade to V5.0 KnightSTAR 5U appliance unlimited user license high availability, two each, (2) Software to upgrade to high availability, 1 each, (3) 10/1000 Gigabit Card, 4 each. (4) DATT Drives on per KS unit, 2 each. (5) Raid controller cards, 2 each, (6) Additional Hard drives for RAID, 4 each. (7) Silver Appliance Hardware Support ? 8X5 local business hours, 2 each. Provide the following additional hardware: (1) KS 5U Appliance, unlimited users, standalone units, 3 each. (2) 10/1000 Gigabit Card, 6 each. (3) DAT Tape Drive, 3 each. (4) Raid Controller Cards, 3 each. (5) Additional hard drives required for RAID, 6 each. (6) Silver Appliance Hardware Support-8X5 local business hours, 3 each. Services and hardware are to be delivered to Scott AFB. Desired and required delivery date for hardware is 1 April 2002. All maintenance is through 30 September 2002. Use of Cyberguard Corporation, is being considered to satisfy the Government?s requirements. No other service provider is known to be capable of providing comparable software and support to meet the service requirements. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation, reference Number 5TC5702C161. This RFQ document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-27, NAICS Code 511210, Computer Software Publishers, packaged; applies. Size standard is $18.0 million.
