Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with McDonnell Douglas Corporation, a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Boeing Company, PO Box 516, St. Louis, MO 63166-0516, to provide engineering services of technology support, data analysis, and documentation and reporting of the ship-based CVS degraded modes investigation. McDonnell Douglas is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the F/A-18 aircraft in its various configurations and is the only source with the knowledge, expertise, facilities, tooling, special test equipment and design/technical data necessary to accomplish this effort.
