- Description
- The Contractor shall provide medical records coding service and related medical records functions that cover a wide range of medical specialties for selected Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS). Related medical records functions include: providing medical records coding training that is tailored to the healthcare providers, quality control/auditing services, creating templates for healthcare providers in the Government provided computer system, and Medical Record Administration duties. Services will be performed either from the contractor's facility or within the MTF for any Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Administration or United States Coast Guard facility as specified in the site specific task order. When coding services are required to be performed at the contractor's facility, the contractor shall electronically transmit medical records documentation from the MTF to the contractor's facility where qualified personnel shall perform medical records coding duties. When services are required within the MTF, the Government shall stipulate the number of medical records coding personnel to be placed on-site to perform medical records coding duties. Interested contractors shall respond to this ?Sources Sought? announcement by providing the following information: 1. Describe experience with same or similar types of services. Provide contract numbers, points of contact and valid phone numbers. 2. Provide GSA schedule number for any schedules currently held with GSA for these services. 3. Provide information on both CONUS and OCONUS contracts, if applicable. Submit this information to the contracting officer at sdwellen@us.med.navy.mil no later than 3:00 EST on March 20, 2002.
