Description

The Government intends to purchase on a sole source basis INTERFACE SOFTWARE from Cast Navigation LLC, 900 Technology Park Drive, Billerica MA. This software will be used to interface a CAST 3000 Embedded GPS/INS Tester (EGIT) to a Tactical Tomahawk anti-jam GPS receiver (AGR) from CAST Navigation LLC. CAST Navigation LLC is the developer, designer and manufacturer of this software and holds proprietary rights in data in providing support of the CAST 3000 software. The NAICS code is 541511 with a size standard of $21 million. The contract shall be a firm fixed priced contract for 180 days. FOB Destination shall apply. Simplified Acquisition Procedures shall be used. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis/solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written quotation will not be used. The Quotation number is N00178-02-Q-3414 and is a Request for Quotation. All interested parties shall indicate their interest and capability with their fax quote to the attention of XDS13-5 at (540) 653-6810, which shall be considered by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren Laboratory Procurement Division has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition area; therefore this synopsis/solicitation, with any applicable amendments will be available on the World Wide Web at http://www.nswc.navy.mil/s. THE GOVERNMENT SHALL NOT ISSUE A WRITTEN QUOTE AS ALL ITEMS ARE CALLED OUT IN THIS NOTICE. Vendors should regularly access the NSWCDD Web Site to ensure that they have downloaded all amendments. DoD will no longer award contracts to contractors not registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database.
