Description

The Bureau of Prisons, Southeast Regional Office located in Atlanta, GA, is seeking the services of a Vocational Education Program for the residents at the Federal Correctional Institution in Yazoo City, Mississippi. This program will consist of instructional classes in Advanced Industrial Sewing and in Industrial Sewing Machine Repair. Bidders will need to have 2 years experience in the field of Industrial Sewing Instruction and the repair of these machines. Also, the contractor will be responsible for the administrative duties, related trades instruction as it related to apprenticeship and ?live work? oversight. The Contractor will work Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm with a one hour unpaid lunch break. The period of performance will be from approximately April 1, 2002 through September 30, 2002 with 2 one year option periods running from October 1, 2002 through September 30, 2003 and October 1, 2003 through September 30, 2004. Sessions are as outlined in the Statement of Work in the solicitation package and will total 6 hours per day for an approximate number of sessions for the base year at 762 and 1500 sessions for each option year.
