Description
The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) has a requirement for an Optical Spectrum Analyzer (OSA) with single-mode fiber input that covers the range of 350 nm to 1750 nm in wavelength with a resolution of 50 pm or better, a linearity of 0.02 nm over the C-band, and a wavelength accuracy of 0.05 nm over the C-band. The OSA should provide stray light rejection of 70 dB or better at 1nm away from a laser line in a 0.05 nm bandwidth. Any signals resulting from second-order diffraction off the grating should be reduced by at leas t30 db below the peak value. The linearity of the amplitude should be 0.1 db or better and the amplitude accuracy should be 0.3 db or better. The OSA should also be equipped witha monochromator output so that it can act as a tunable filter with an adjustable filter bandwidth over the operating range of 350 to 1750 nm. The unit should have a GPIB interface and a built-in floppy disk, or similar device, for saving recorded traces. The unit should be capable of storing at least two traces and performing simple math operations between the two traces, such as subtraction. The unit should also have standard marker features such as peak search and width measurement. This procurement is being conducted per FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. You may submit your proposal by fax, email or by mail. Proposal must be received on or before close of business March 21, 2002. Please include delivery date, F.O.B. point, business size, Federal Taxpayer Identification Number, and Dun and Bradstreet Number. Terms and Conditions and agency level protest procedures can be fond on web site http://oamweb.osec.doc.gov/CONOPS/#REFERENCE.
