Maintenance Contract for Canon Color Copiers Solicitation for DAPS-Norfolk General Information Document Type: Presolicitation Notice Solicitation Number: SA7031-02-R-0022 Posted Date: Original Response Date: 03-12-2002 Current Response Date: 03-12-2002 Archive Date: Classification Code: J -Maintenance, repair & rebuilding of equipment Contracting Office Address: Document Automation and Production Service, 1641 Morris Street, Norfolk, VA 23511 Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for maintenance service in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ), Fixed Price; and a written solicitation will not be issued. The requirement is for the procurement of Maintenance for two (2) Canon CLC 1000, and one (1) Canon CLC 2400 each with a Fiery. Service is requested March 2002 through September 30, 2002. Place(s) of service and acceptance are DAPS-Norfolk, 1641 Morris Street, Norfolk, VA 23511, and DAPS-Portsmouth, Bldg. 31, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA 23709. Offerors must provide a detailed description of the services currently being provided to other customers. Offeror's proposal must include pricing for all solicitation requirements. Discussions may or may not be held with offerors; therefore, each offeror's initial proposal should be complete and accurate. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, repair parts, tools, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to perform comprehensive maintenance on the listed equipment. Contractor shall provide supplies, excluding paper, to be included with the meter volume. Contractor must provide quick response service to DAPS' requirement (within 2-4 hours during normal and evening working hours; 4-6 hours during holiday's and weekend hours covered under a separate line item). Telephone numbers for urgent calls are to be provided by the contractor. Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, and transportation necessary to complete the service call, except where parts have to be ordered. Parts should be accessible within 24 hours. Parts must be furnished with standard commercial warranty. Proposal must state the base maintenance cost, as well as the maintenance cost of each Fiery; and the amount of copies allowed monthly for Color and Black and White prints. The amount charged for overages should also be stated. Award will be made to the offeror whose proposal represents the best value to the Government considering the following factors in descending order of importance: Technical Excellence (Quality), Past Performance, and cost. Offerors must provide past performance information with their proposal. This information must document at least three contracts placed over the past three years, and must include the company names, addresses, telephone numbers, and names of contacts, and any other pertinent information to document past performance.
