Description

NA Project consists of maintenance dredging of approx. 64,000 cys of material within the Federal and non-Federal channel limits as well as 29,400 cys of material within the Federal and non-Federal channel limits at Trail Creek, handling and disposal of the ma terial into the Deercroft Landfill. Mechanical dredging by whatever means is acceptable, but utilizing a closed bucket is required. There is one foot allowable over depth directly below the required Federal channel dredging limits only. The Government f urnished disposal area is located in Michigan City, Indiana, south of Trail Creek. The SIC code for this procurement is 1629. The estimated cost of the project is $1 million to $5 million. The approx issue date is 19 March 2002, with an approx bid date of 18 April 2002. The contract specialist will be Kim McKnight at 502-315-6186 and the project engineer will be Bill White at 312-353-6400, x3151. The project will be available on compact disc only. Project specification files will be available in porta ble document format (pdf) files and can be viewed, navigated or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. If applicable, the drawing files will be in CAL format and can be viewed, navigated or printed using Source View Reader. Both readers will be contained in the solicitation package. Minimum system requirements will be 486-based personal computer, Microsoft Windows 3.1 or greater, 8MB application RAM, 4MB hard disk space and compact disk drive.
