- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command is seeking qualified and responsible sources for the fabrication, assembly, integration and testing of approximately 125 Reconfigurable Transportable Consolidated Automated Support System (RTCASS) full rate production stations. RTCASS will provide a portable test set using COTS hardware and software, which is test program set (TPS) compatible with mainframe CASS. RTCASS will provide automated test equipment (ATE) support to the USMC and USSOCOM for the F-18, EA-6B, AV-8B and V-22. The Government intends to use a performance specification. The information submitted in response to this announcement will be used by the Navy to assess industry interest and capability. This is not a request for proposal nor will any contract award result from the information submitted. All interested parties are encouraged to respond electronically to stratakesjm@navair.navy.mil stating interest and capabilities or send a letter to Naval Air Systems Command, Attn: Janine Stratakes (AIR 2.4.2.7.6), Bldg 2272, Rm # 349, 47123 Buse Road, Patuxent River, MD 20670-1547. Responses must be received no later than 15 March 2002 and should include, the following: a) a one page company history description to include major products, primary customer base, and point of contact; b) a description of the company's capabilities and past performance; c) any other information the company deems necessary; d) any questions the company may have concerning this requirement. The total submission shall not exceed 3 pages. Unless otherwise stated herein, no additional information is available. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties in support of the effort mentioned above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor for the release of any follow-on information.
