Description: The description is changed as follows: Air transportation services for the movement of a minimum of 8 passengers and baggage between Naval Air Station North Island (San Diego) CA and San Clemente Island CA. The contractor will provide a twin-engine, IFR equipped aircraft with a minimum ACL of 1,600 lbs. A minimum of 75 round trips (approximately 176 total miles per round trip) is anticipated during the base period. The period of performance is 1 Apr 02 thru 30 Sep 02. There is one 12-month option period and one six-month extension after performance in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR 52.217-8). Date for receipt of offers to the fixed price solicitation will be on or about 14 Mar 02 with an anticipated award date (if already a DOD approved carrier) of 22 Mar 02. An offeror must be a Federal Aviation Administration Part 121 or 135 air carrier. To be awarded this contract the offeror must satisfy all DOD Commercial Air Carrier Quality and Safety Requirements as specified in 32 CFR, Part 861.3.
