Description: This office intends to negotiate an extension to contract F16602-92-D0010 with SATO Travel, 1005 North Glebe Road, Arlington VA 22201, for the two month period of 1 April 2002 through 31 May 2002. The purpose of this contract extension is to allow the government sufficient time to finalize acquisition processes and implementation of the follow-on contract. Since commercial travel office service is necessary on a continuing basis due to mission requirements, negotiations with the incumbent contractor are required to continue service with the least amount of disruption and cost to the government. See numbered note 22.
