The Government plans to issue the solicitation at the following Internet address https://state.monmouth.army.mil/ Go to: "U.S. Department of State Business Opportunities" Then browse the listings by Number, CBD category, Contracting Officer Location, Date Posted, etc. This site may also be accessed by going to www.statebuy.gov and then to "Business Opportunities" and finally to "Contract Opportunities" to arrive at the https://state.monmouth.army.mil/ site, above. We recommend that you subscribe to the list serve on this site (the Statebuy Interactive Platform) to receive emails of posted amendments, questions and answers on specific solicitations. To Subscribe, go to "Secured Services" on at the URL above. When the "Secured Services" page appears, scroll to the bottom and go to "Subscribe". Follow the instructions on the form that appears. Please choose the CBD categories for the types of solicitations that you are interested in receiving email notification(s). For example, Local Guard Services is CBD category "S". This requirement will be issued via the Internet. No hard copies will be mailed. Note: The response date in this notice is not a firm date please see the RFP for the actual date. Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Brussels Belgium will launch, via the internet, a solicitation to require the operation and management of Local Guard Services for its Embassy in Brussels in order to prevent unauthorized access, protect life, maintain order, deter criminal attacks against employees, dependents and property and terrorist acts against all US assets, and prevent damage to Government property. The Contractor shall furnish managerial, administrative, and direct labor personnel to accomplish all work as required in the contract. The estimated number of hours for all levels of guards is Guard 99,739; Supervisor 12,089. These requirements may change depending on funding availability in forthcoming periods. Anticipated performance is for one base period and four one-year periods at the option of the Government. Major duties and responsibilities are to perform access control to limit entry to only authorized personnel or visitors, the operation of walk-through metal detectors, hand-held detectors, electronic and hydraulic barriers and special monitoring devices. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered.
