- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Blake Industries, Inc. of Scotch Plains, NJ, for three (3) each Huber Horizontal Single Axis Goniometers.***Sole source determination is based on the need for these goniometers to be 100% compatible and interchangeable with existing rotational and linear motion devices built by Huber Diffraktionstechnik GmbH, which is represented in the United States by Blake Industries.***Delivery shall be FOB Destination, Gaithersburg, MD, and is required within 90 days after receipt of order.***The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334512, and the size standard is 500 employees.***No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however, responses received by March 7, 2002, will be considered by the Government.***A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
