Description
NA The US Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, has a requirement for a new workboat, twin diesel engine powered, twin screw, all welded steel boat with a towboat style hull to support the maintenance and repair mission. The workboat shall be a curr ent standard design from a manufacturer regularly engaged in the construction of boats of this type. The boat will be used to maneuver barges at worksites on the Mississippi River, Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, and other navigable waterways within the New O rleans District. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 3731 and the business size is 1000 employees. The NAICS code is 336611. This solicitation is set-aside for small businesses. The requirement is being procured as a firm fi xed price contract. This is a best value procurement action. The significant evaluation factors in order of importance are 1. Technical Compliance, 2. Management, 3. Vessel Quality, and 4. Cost/Price. Proposals shall be evaluated with Number 1 as accept able or unacceptable, numbers 2, 3, and 4 once evaluated in accordance with the evaluation factors listed in the solicitation package will have an overall evaluation of approximately equal weight. Solicitation DACW29-01-R-0015 is available upon request. A ll interested parties may request a complete solicitation package in writing by fax (504) 862-2889 Attn: Brenda Welty or Pamela Hillard, stating the solicitation number, complete company name, point of contact, address, area code and telephone number and facsimile number. No telephone requests will be accepted. Proposals are due on March 22, 2002 at 1000 hours. NOTE: Offeror must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DOD activity. Information on registration may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr2000.com. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dun & Bradstreet. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible f or timely award. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by this agency.
