Description
NA This notice is a market survey conducted by the Department of Army to identify the existence of additional sources for a future contract in support of the Single Channel Ground and Airborne System (SINCGARS) receiver/transmitters, ancillary components and spare parts. The SINCGARS family of VHF/FM tactical combat net radios are designed to operate in the 30 to 88 MHz band in 25 kHz discrete channels in both frequency hopping and single channel modes. The Electronic Counter-Countermeasures (ECCM) capabilit y of SINCGARS allow for the reception of both voice and data in a hostile jamming environment. Integrated Communication Security (COMSEC) provides the required degree of protection of operational voice and data transmission and reception. SINCGARS radios have been designed to interoperate with existing and legacy tactical communications equipment of the US military, NATO and most foreign forces. The production hardware will include current and previous generations of SINCGARS Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and spares. A list of the deliverable spare parts, as well as LRUs, is attached (additional items may be added at a later date). A Technical Data Package (TDP) is available. Additional engineering efforts may be required by prospective contractors in or der to successfully produce these items. A Draft Request for Proposal (RFP) is planned to be released o/a July 15, 2002. A pre-solicitation conference is planned for the April or May 2002 timeframe.
