Description
POC: Tangee Brookie, U.S. Geological Survey, Box 25046, MS-204A, Denver, CO 80225, Telephone: (303) 236-9322, Fax: (303) 236-5859, e-mail: tbrookie@usgs.gov The U.S. Geological Survey, Geologic Division, has a requirement for Database Management and Geologic Services which will be performed at the Central Energy Resources Team offices in Building 25 of the Denver Federal Center, Denver, Colorado. Work will involve collecting CBM databases from Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission and BLM. Collecting, managing, and creating digital files from hard copies of maps, databases, and other digital files. Generating Arc/Info shape files and Pdf files for the projects: 1) Origin and Controls of Gas in the Northern Great Plains (BLM Coop), and 2) Origin of Alaska Coal, and generating data and metadata for the shape files from the literature and digital files for both projects. Contractor personnel shall have knowledge and working experience in Land Use Planning and Geology; GIS, generating shape and Pdf files, adobe illustrator, and digital mapping; database management and spreadsheet software (e.g. Excel, Quatro Pro, dBase, and ASCII); creating and producing digital files (GIS) from the StratiFact database and spreadsheets; GIS/Mapping in the Fort Union Formation of the Northern Rocky Mountains and Great Plains Region; and generating digital files for and creating CD-ROMs. Performance period shall be approximately 10 months. Interested parties may request a copy of the RFQ either by U.S. Mail, e-mail, or fax. The request must contain the RFQ number (02CRQQ0078), the requester's name, complete street address, telephone, and fax numbers. Telephone requests for the RFQ will not be accepted. It is anticipated the RFQ will be available on or after February 14, 2002. See numbered note 12.
