Description
NA This is a Sources Sought Notice to survey potential suppliers regarding the capability of their product to meet the technical, cost and schedule requirements of the Well Drilling System described as follows. It is the intent of the government to replace t he current Well Drilling System with a new Well Drilling System that incorporates the latest technology and provides additional drilling depth capability. The new Well Drilling System will be configured into modules that are compatible with Load Handling System (LHS) Trucks and Trailers. The modules will be based on a flatrack, compatible with the Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT) LHS and the Palletized Load System (PLS) Trailer and be C-130 transportable. The modules must operate independen t of the truck (on the PLS Trailer or on the ground). All electric, hydraulic and pneumatic power for the modules will come from the module(s). The complete Well Drilling System must fit onto a maximum of two HEMTT-LHS trucks and two PLS Trailers. The g overnment intends to award a developmental contract in late FY02 to produce one or two prototype units; delivery approximately six months after contract award. After successful completion of testing at a Government test site, a production contract will be awarded in FY04. Production quantities are anticipated to be three to four Well Drilling Systems per year over approximately eight years. No compensation can be made for participation in the survey. The Market Survey, Requirements Description, HEMTT-LH S Brochure and PLS and 1077 Brochure are available in the Market Survey section of the TACOM website, http://contracting.tacom.army.mil/opportunity.htm. Responses to the survey must be received by March 15, 2002. Contact Karen Montgomery, 586-575-8505 fo r additional information.
