Description
The Federal Correctional Institution, Oxford, Wisconsin is soliciting to establish a non-personal service contract to provide training and instruction to inmates enrolled in the Soldering Technology Vocational Training program. The Contractor shall provide instruction and guidance in a classroom/shop type setting for the purpose of instructing approximately ten to fifteen inmates. The Contractor shall provide expertise to include, but not be limited to, the following Solder operations: Tin, solder splices, solder sleeves, turret and cup soldering. Provide familiarization with military blueprints, table layouts, basic knowledge of harness assembly and equipment to be utilized. The Contractor shall keep attendance records, submit attendance, completion, and withdrawal data to the Supervisor of Education. Contractor will help evaluate student progress and performance, provide grades on a timely basis, and maintain competency based achievement records. All prospective bidders are required to have at least 4000 hours in an occupational field such as electrician, soldering, or wire harness assembly. The contract shall be awarded to the Contractor receiving the highest score based on evaluation criteria listed in the solicitation. Contractor will perform approximately 90 sessions per course (a session is defined as a two hour increment). There will be between 3 and 5 classes per week, Monday through Friday 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.. The contract period will run from time of award through September 30, 2002. Bids are to be returned to this office no later than 4:00 p.m. CST March 01, 2002. A firm-fixed price with evaluation factors type contract is contemplated. This acquisition is unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by this office. The estimated range of this agreement is under $25,000.
